First-time candidate off to a strong start in race to succeed Waxman

PACIFIC PALISADES – Democrat Matt Miller announced today that his campaign raised more than $517,000 in just 45 days since announcing his campaign for Congress. Miller released the following statement:

“After spending the last six weeks raising money to compete with the career politicians, I can say this: first, people across the 33rd congressional district are tired of politics as usual and ready for real change to get our economy moving; and second, our system of financing campaigns is fundamentally broken and desperately needs reform. I’m running for Congress to do whatever it takes to deliver the change we need.”

A former budget advisor in the Clinton White House and business consultant, Miller was the longtime co-host of KCRW’s popular political show Left, Right, and Center.

Miller recently announced a bold plan to reduce health costs for families, businesses, seniors and taxpayers, which is available at www.mattmillerforcongress.com.
